The UVMA committees are where the work gets done. Each elected board member is accountable to ensure the committee(s) that they are responsible for has a purpose, action plan and budget. The board member may or may not be the chairperson of the committee. While the board approves plans and budgets, the committee chairperson is responsible for the implementation of any plans.
Committees may be activated for specific projects. Committee Chairpersons may engage the services of vendors and consultants to deliver projects within approved budgets.
Like any organization, the UVMA sponsors active and useful committees. Thus, we need active and innovative help from our membership. You involvement will ensure our success.
